Painting Horses for Warhammer Part 2: Grey

In part two of the painting warhammer horses series I look at a simple way of painting grey horses.

Start with a basecoat of Skavenblight Dingle (GW Layer)

Then you give the model a wash of Nuln Oil (GW Shade)

We start by layering up with colours, starting with Stormvermin Fur (GW Layer)

Our next layer is a 50/50 mix of Stormvermin Fur and Administratum Grey (GW Layer)

Our final layer is of Administratum Grey

Next paint some white details using White Scar (GW Layer). I chose to paint some spots on the rear.

The horses saddle, reins and rider were painted up. I kept the hooves black. The black hair was highlighted with Administratum Grey.
