3 Quick Ways to Paint Bone

In this tutorial I will show you how to paint bone very quickly not once, not twice but thrice! These methods are designed for a quick tabletop standard, the third of which I am using for the skeletons for my upcoming Tomb Kings army which you will be seeing a lot more of over the coming weeks and months.

Very Quick Way

This is the quickest way to paint bone on your models and might be something you’ll try if the model is largely bone and you wanted it painted fast.
1. Undercoat the model White
2. Apply a wash over the bone areas with Seraphim Sepia (GW Shade)
3. Highlight the bone with Screaming Skull (GW Layer)

White Bone

White bone is also very quick and easy to paint.
1. Undercoat the model White
2. Apply a wash over the bone areas with Nuln Oil (GW Shade)
3. Highlight the bone with White Scar (GW Layer)

Bleached Bone

This my preferred method of painting bone and the one I’m using for my Tomb King army.
1. Undercoat the model White
2. Basecoat the bone areas with Screaming Skull. (GW Layer)
3. Apply a shade over the bone areas with Agrax Earthshade (GW Shade)
4. Drybrush the bone areas with Terminatus Stone (GW Dry)
