Super Dungeon Explore Paladin and Barbarian

I recently purchased Super Dungeon Explore by Soda Pop Miniatures. Ever since I first discovered the game I’ve really liked the look of the miniature’s and the way it plays so I knew one day I would pick it up. The miniatures are of an anime style so are very different to the Games Workshop miniatures that I’m used to, which is a good thing as I’ve painted so much GW miniatures recently I needed something different. My Emerald Ace’s and Tomb Kings, plus some Tyranid models I’ve started painted are going to be put to one side for a bit whilst I paint up miniatures for this game.

The game itself contains over 50 miniatures in the standard box, 9 of which are character models which are what I’ve started painted first. I’ve now finished two of these models, The Royal Paladin and the Claw Tribe Barbarian. As these are of an anime style I wanted the painted to suit this. What this means as there are a lot of flat colours with deep contrasting shadows. The most challenging part of these models I found were their eyes. They are by no means perfect but for a first attempt I am happy with the results.
