Behind The Scenes Video

I thought I’d make a little video showing you guys around my little hobby area. I’m hoping to make more videos in the future including a very special giveaway so make sure you subscribe to my youtube...

Miltarum Tempestus Scions Test Mini...

This is a test miniature from a Militarum Tempestus Command Squad I’m working on. The head and backpack are from Secret Weapon Miniatures. I wanted to practise my object source lighting on this squad and the plasma gunner was obviously a good place to start. I’m very happy with how this technique has come out considering this is only the third model I’ve ever tried OSL out on...

Five Daemon Princes in One Video!...

My latest video on my YouTube channel showcases my five Chaos Daemon Princes. I have one for each god and Be’lakor. You may have already seen some of these on the blog before but there are a couple you wouldn’t have seen...

Imperial Fist Breacher Siege Squad...

Another squad from my small Heresy Era Imperial Fists Army. This is a breacher squad. It uses a mix of the Forgeworld Breacher Squad Marines and some Mark III armoured marines with boarding shields. The armour on these models is painted to look really dirty and scratched. It is no means my best paint work but they are tabletop...

Praetorian Guard Rough Riders...

You would have seen some of these guys in the past in my series on painting warhammer horses. This is my finished squad of rough riders for my Praetorian Guard army. They are converted from the Pith Helmet Swaps from Secret Weapon Miniatures, the torso, arms and legs are from the Colonial Empire Cavalry Set by Curious Constructs and the Horse is from the Empire Pistoliers...

Horus Heresy Imperial Fists Devastators

It’s been a while since I last painted anything for my Heresy Era Imperial Fists but I’ve had these guys sitting on my desk for a while now and I finally decided to paint them up. I love the fact that in the Horus Heresy Legion army list you can take heavy weapon squads with a every member being able to carry a heavy weapon. I decided to go with missile launchers as this load out is cheap points wise and still quite deadly. This squad is less battle damaged than most of my other Imperial Fist models from this army. I decided to paint them this way to represent that they spend more time on the back line firing from afar rather then getting stuck into the fight like the rest of the...

Be’lakor, The First Daemon Prince of Chaos...

Since Black Library released a dataslate for the Chaos Daemon Prince Be’lakor last December I’ve wanted to get the model to paint up and try out in games. I managed to paint him fairly quickly using the airbrush. He was given a basecoat of Black and I used several greys and white to make a gradient of colour on his wings and skin. The skin was then given several glazes of Warpfiend Grey (GW Layer) to give it a purple hue. Compared to other Daemon Prince models this model is slightly smaller as you may expect with such an old model. The rocky scenic 60mm base helps him seem a little larger on the...

Exodite Eldar Dire Avengers...

I’ve decided to start a little Exodite army as a side project. Despite having so much on my plate I feel the need to try something completely different considering I’ve painted a lot of power armour recently (and have more power armour to paint over the coming weeks). As you can see from the images, very little conversion work has gone into these models, in fact only a cloak from the Dark Elf Black Ark Corsairs was added to each of them. I moved away slightly from the traditional mid tone blue for these models and decided to opt for a more green blue colour scheme. I painted the helmets and scales of the cloaks with Wild Rider Red as it contrasts well with the...
