Ork Gorkanaut

The new Ork releases have really got me excited. I picked up a Gorkanaut shortly after it was released but only managed to get round to finishing it off this week. I will certainly be adding more of the new Ork models and units to my collection over the coming weeks so stay tuned for them. I used an airbrush and a template for the blue flame effect which I am really happy...

Blood for the Blood God!

The blog has been pretty quiet lately as I’ve been working on some big projects which you’ll be seeing over the coming weeks. Consider this period the calm before the storm. Anyway I thought I would dig out some old models of mine that I am quite fond of. These models represent the small Khorne faction of my Chaos Space Marine army. These, and my brass scorpion are all I have for Khorne if you don’t count my Daemons but I eventually hope to have lots of units for each of the four gods. First up is the Khorne Lord Skyrak the Slaughterer who I’ve shown on this blog before in the past. I love this conversion and his back story. I am currently planning different variations of this character, including a power armoured version, pre heresy version and a small diorama with him in. Next up are my Khorne Berzerkers. These guys are made up mainly from the Forgeworld World Eater conversion parts but I use legs from the Space Marine Assault Squad as well as various chain axes and trophy racks. I wanted each model to have his own trophy rack and chain axe. The armour for all my Khorne models is a very deep red that I prefer over the traditional brighter scheme. Lastly is Kharn the Betrayer. It’s amazing to think how old his miniature is but I personally think it still looks great. That said I wouldn’t mind seeing him redone with as much detail and as good a pose as his Forgeworld...

Eldar Exodites Stegadon Wave Serpent...

The transport for my Dire Avengers will be this Wave Serpent made out of the Lizardmen Stegadon set and an Eldar War Walker. The conversion was pretty simple and I’m really happy with how it turned out. He just needs a matt varnish now before I gloss all the gems on him. I may decide to make another one in the...

Emerald Aces Centurions

My Emerald Aces army is drawing to a close. I have very little left to paint and don’t plan too many more additions. You’ll be seeing more bikes over the next few weeks but in the meantime I have made some Centurions for the...
