Space Marine Primaris Librarian...

So since Warhammer 40,000 8th edition was released I’ve been painting quite a lot of Primaris Marines and Death Guard. I haven’t got around to sharing it all with you on this blog (I post a lot of stuff on the Bitzbox instagram page) so I thought I’d start with my favourite miniature of the bunch, my Primaris...

Adeptus Custodes

I’m not going to start this blog post by apologising for lack of updates. Despite painting a lot of miniatures there’s very few that actually make it to this blog. I’ll try and update more but life really gets in the way sometimes. Anyway, please enjoy some Custodes!...

Kharadron Overlords Frigate...

The Kharadron Overlords are a new army from GW who have some beautiful models. I am assembling a small force of them myself and this is the first model I have completed so far. I wanted to do something different to the norm on this so went back to the nebula style effect that I had previously done on my knight titans but this time I also added magenta and stars to sell the nebula effect a little bit more. If you’re interested in how to achieve the nebula effect it can be found in this video I made a while ago...

Stormcast Eternals Lord Aquillor...

There’s not much Age of Sigmar releases lately that I haven’t loved and the Stormcast Eternals stuff is no exception. I’ve picked up all the new stuff from this range and the first miniature I painted was the Lord Aquillor. I also made a video for the Bitzbox channel showing off how I painted the Gryph Charger  ...

Plastic Lord of Change

The new plastic Lord of Change from Games Workshop is a beautiful miniature. I bought two of them so I can make one as Fateweaver. I have built and painted the first one as a regular Lord of Change Below you can see how his size compares to other larger citadel miniatures   Save...

Inquisitor Greyfax

My favourite miniature from The Gathering Storm Triumvirate of the Imperium boxed set is easily Inquisitor Greyfax. I wanted to try a NMM gold and silver for her armour which despite not being perfect has came out satisfactory. I will keep practicing it for sure. I also wanted something special for her base so I scratched built this one for her which I am really happy with. Below is a video showing off how I made it....

Magnus The Red

My second favourite GW release of 2016 after Alarielle was Magnus the Red. He is the first daemon Primarch we have seen in Warhammer 40,000 and the model certainly does him justice. I didn’t really like the silver armour GW painted on him so I opted for an ivory scheme instead. This was painted with Ulthuan grey before being given a Burnt Umber oil wash and then highlighted back up again with Ulthuan Grey and then White...

Kharn The Betrayer

It was great to see GW release an updated version of Kharn the Betrayer. With Ahriman also released this weekend I can but hope these are just the start of seeing all the chaos space marine special characters receiving new...

Konrad Curze

I’ve been really terrible lately in regards to updating this blog. I’ve been painting many different things lately and I will try to post as much as I can remember to. You can of course always head on down to the Bitzbox Instagram page where I share most of my painted minis. The latest Primarch model in my collection that I’ve painted is Konrad...

Alarielle The Everqueen

I know I begin every post by apologising at how long it’s been since I last posted. The truth is I keep forgetting about this blog! I have been painting a lot lately and most of my miniatures can be found on my Instagram account at Bitzbox. That said every now and then I will still post stuff here as I still have this hosting account for another 3 years! So lets start with probably my favourite model I’ve ever painted. Alarielle the Everqueen for the Sylvaneth. An absolutely fantastic miniature by Games Workshop and I put a lot of time and effort into the paint job and custom base.   Also if you’re interested in how I achieved the effect on the beetle, I also made a tutorial for the Bitzbox YouTube...

Silver Tower Tzeentch

Here’s some more Silver Tower miniatures that I painted last...

Silver Tower Horrors

I apologise that the blog has been quiet lately. I’ve been putting a lot of time into painting stuff from Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower and I’ll be posting up stuff together, starting with all the Horrors from the set.

Mangler Squigs

This is probably one of my favourite miniatures from the Finecast range of models by Games Workshop. There’s so much character and detail on these squigs and although it was a bit of a pain to assemble, it certainly was a joy to...

Stormcast Eternals Stardrake...

I’ve been working on the Stardrake model for my Stormcast Eternals for a couple of weeks now and I’m very relieved to say he’s finally completed.   I’m most proud of the wings and I made a tutorial for how I painted them on the Bitzbox channel...

Iron Man, Captain America and Deadpool...

Something very different now for the blog. These models are from the awesome new Marvel range by Knight models. I have purchased several miniatures from this range and the first three that I’ve painted are Iron Man, Captain America and...

SDE: Stilt Town Zombies

So as a break from painting so many Emperor’s Children Space Marines for Horus Heresy I thought I would paint up the Stilt Town Zombies set for Super Dungeon...

Eldar Exodites Army Shots...

Content on this blog is lacking a little bit lately. I’ve been working hard on my hobby room renovation over the last few months which has slowed down painting. Apart from just some Betrayal at Calth stuff that I have been showcasing on my Bitzbox Youtube Channel, I haven’t done much else. That said I hope to have some more Super Dungeon Explore miniatures to share with you guys soon. In the meantime I thought I’d show off my Eldar Exodite army in full. There’s still a few bits I wish to add to this army but I doubt I’ll have them completed anytime...

Fulgrim The Illuminator

So updates may be few and far between these days but I am happy that I can finally share with you Fulgrim, the Primarch of The Emperor’s Children. He has taken a while to paint but I’m very happy with the...

Lord Commander Eidolon

It’s been so long since my last update and for that I apologise. My gaming room has been completely renovated so I’ve not had no lightbox set up for a good couple of months. Now it’s set back up and I also have a new camera too. My first update is Lord Commander Eidolon of the Emperors Children. The new camera picks up on the detail a lot better than my old one which means I’ll have to up my painting game a little. I’m not 100% happy with his face or some of the NMM gold but overall I really like how this miniature came...

More Malifaux

I apologise to any regular visits of this blog for the lack of updates lately. I have been super busy and my motivation to paint has been quite low also, added to the fact that my lightbox is still packed away for a few more weeks. Before it was packed away I did manage to snap these guys from the Malifaux starter set.    ...
