Eldar Exodites Army Shots...

Content on this blog is lacking a little bit lately. I’ve been working hard on my hobby room renovation over the last few months which has slowed down painting. Apart from just some Betrayal at Calth stuff that I have been showcasing on my Bitzbox Youtube Channel, I haven’t done much else. That said I hope to have some more Super Dungeon Explore miniatures to share with you guys soon. In the meantime I thought I’d show off my Eldar Exodite army in full. There’s still a few bits I wish to add to this army but I doubt I’ll have them completed anytime...

Eldar Exodites Carmine Dragon Wraithknight...

I’ve been looking for something to use as a wraithknight for my Eldar Exodites army for sometime now and finally decided on the superb Carmine Dragon model from Forgeworld. I kept the conversion work simple by just adding the weapons and a few armour plates as I wanted to keep as much of the original model as possible as I’m such a fan of it. I know exodites mainly use dinosaurs instead of dragons but I thought for my army I will use dragons to represent the ‘wraith’ elements. I already have plans for a hemlock wraithfighter from the High Elf Dragon. In regards to painting this model, I wasn’t really sure at first what colour to paint it but it was suggested to me that I try white or light grey which I liked the thought of. It makes the model stand out from the rest of the army and I will most likely use the same colours for the other dragon...

Eldar Exodites Stegadon Wave Serpent...

The transport for my Dire Avengers will be this Wave Serpent made out of the Lizardmen Stegadon set and an Eldar War Walker. The conversion was pretty simple and I’m really happy with how it turned out. He just needs a matt varnish now before I gloss all the gems on him. I may decide to make another one in the...

Eldar Exodites Avatar

Like a lot of people when I saw the new Wood Elves Treeman model I immediately thought ‘that would make a really cool avatar for Eldar Exodites. So on release day I picked one up and have been painting him over the last week. As he’s made of wood I didn’t want to paint traditional fire on him as it would have looked a bit silly so instead I painted green flames on him to give it a sort of magical element to it. I’m very happy with how he came out, especially his...

Exodite Eldar Dire Avengers...

I’ve decided to start a little Exodite army as a side project. Despite having so much on my plate I feel the need to try something completely different considering I’ve painted a lot of power armour recently (and have more power armour to paint over the coming weeks). As you can see from the images, very little conversion work has gone into these models, in fact only a cloak from the Dark Elf Black Ark Corsairs was added to each of them. I moved away slightly from the traditional mid tone blue for these models and decided to opt for a more green blue colour scheme. I painted the helmets and scales of the cloaks with Wild Rider Red as it contrasts well with the...
